Customer and driver safety has always been our top priority.  When Covid-19 struck the UK in 2020 we immediately conducted a detailed Risk Assessment in accordance with government guidelines.

We were the first private hire firm in Barnsley to have protective screens professionally fitted in all of our vehicles so that the driver and passenger compartments each have their own separate “bubble”.  The screens were approved by both Barnsley Council and our insurers.

We were the first Barnsley taxi firm to sign up to the UK-wide National Safe Taxi and Private Hire Charter, which aims to promote taxis as a safe and hygienic environment for both passengers and drivers

We have sanitiser available in all vehicles and have clear rules on the wearing of face coverings.

We have also introduced the facility for all of our drivers to accept card / contactless payments in their vehicles as well as cash, to reduce possible Covid-19 risks associated with handling currency.

Other measures we have taken include vehicle sanitisation after every journey, clear procedures for entry / exit of vehicles and guidance on loading / unloading baggage and vehicle ventilation.

Clear signage relating to Covid-19 safety is also installed in all of our vehicles to assist passengers.

We keep our procedures under constant review in line with government requirements and industry best practice.
